Installazione di test di MOSS in cluster utilizzando Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 (parte prima)

Oggi ho deciso di creare un ambiente di test per MOSS per provare le configurazioni Fault Tolerant. Innanzitutto mi sono concentrato sulla parte di "Back End" e quindi un cluster che supporti SQL Server. In seguito penserò al front end.
Microsoft Technet espone una White Paper su http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/virtualserver/deploy/cvs2005.mspx che illustra in dettaglio i passi necessari al setup di un cluster Windows Server 2003 con due nodi.
La configurazione prevista appare cosi':

Ho installato Virtual Server 2005 su un XP con 2 GB di Ram (spero basti).
Ho svolto circa la metà della procedura descritta nella white paper senza incontrare particolari difficoltà.
Nel prossimo post saprete come andrà la seconda metà dell'installazione...

Creare uno snapshot del WSS 3.0 content database

Segnalo un utilissimo articolo di Microsoft che illustra come creare uno snapshot del database dei contenuti di Windows Sharepoint Services con SQL Server 2005.
Come sempre la versione inglese è un po' piu' chiara di quella tradotta in italiano...

Rilasciati due nuovi corsi su Sharepoint da Microsoft

Microsoft ha rilasciato recentemente due nuovi corsi sulle tecnologie Sharepoint.
Il primo ha il codice MOC 5060 e come titolo "Implementing Microsoft Windows Sharepoint Services 3.0" e, come si evince dal nome, riguarda il servizio Sharepoint compreso con il sistema operativo. Ha una durata di due giorni.
Il secondo dura invece tre giorni ed è il MOC 5061 "Implementing Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server 2007" riguardante MOSS.
Sono corsi sistemistici in cui si possono affrontare anche alcuni aspetti di personalizzazione dell'ambiente.

Veramente interessante (direi quasi entusiasmante) la parte relativa alla Business Intelligence e al Content Management, specie se trattata da un istruttore preparato che si "arrischi" con dimostrazioni ed esercizi non preconfezionati...

Inutile dire che ho immediatamente messo a calendario i due corsi e che potete trovarli all'indirizzo http://www.aliware.it/formazione/Microsoft/Microsoft.aspx.
Dovremmo prevedere una edizione speciale concentrata in tre giorni nel mese di Maggio ad un prezzo "eccezionale"!

Come creare delle viste filtrate per stato del flusso di lavoro (workflow) su Sharepoint 2007

Sharepoint 2007 non permette, per lo meno in modo immediato, di creare viste filtrate basate sullo status di Workflow. In altre parole è difficile riuscire a creare una vista su una lista di documenti che visualizzi solo i documenti con status "Approved", "Cancelled" oppure "Rejected".
Per poter creare il filtro occorre far riferimento al valore numerico del campo di workflow "status".

I valori da utilizzare sono i seguenti:

In Progress: 2
Cancelled: 4
Approved: 16
Rejected: 17
